SUMMARY:Dermatology ITE - In-training examination 2012
DESCRIPTION:An in-training examination is administered annually online
  to dermatology residents. The intent of the ITE is to identify knowle
 dge-based strengths and weaknesses in both the training program and th
 e residents in a non-punitive manner. Although participation in the in
 -training examination program is voluntary, most training programs par
 ticipate annually because both training directors and residents find t
 he ITE to be a valuable educational experience. The format of the ITE 
 includes only the types of multiple-choice questions that appear on th
 e certifying examination: i.e., one best answer, matching, and identif
 ication of images.The examination is a 4-hour web-based proctored exam
 ination administered through the individual dermatology residency trai
 ning programs.In 2012, the In-Training Examination will be given on Fe
