Event Description

Human Cadaver Facial Dissection Workshop is a procedural anatomy course providing practicing dermatologists hands-on experience exploring the complex 3-dimensional anatomic structures of the face and neck. Human Cadaver Facial Dissection Workshop will allow participants to actually see and understand the relationships among these anatomic structures which are quite small, inaccessible, often poorly taught and frequently misunderstood. Fresh-frozen heads will be used to specifically examine anatomic planes, muscles, nerves, arteries and veins. Utilizing small groups in a medical school laboratory, expert facial plastic surgeons will guide attendees through a dissection of the face and neck and offer formal instruction in the evolving methodology of injecting botulinum toxin and dermal fillers. Attendees will inject dermal fillers and then have the unique opportunity to immediately correlate the post injection appearance with the exact anatomic location of the filler in the specimen's face.
