Worst Case Scenario: Angry and Protesting Patient

Hell hath no fury like a disgruntled patient. Bozena Ginalski was served with a temporary restraining order after protesting and taunting Eric Schweiger, MD, a dermatologist who she claims botched her facial treatments.

Schwieger has 26 offices throughout New York City. On July 14, Ginalski protested with a sign near his Murray Hill location that read “Beware of Dr. Eric Schweiger Aka The Butcher & Madoff of Dermatology”. A few days later, Ginalski stood two blocks away from his West 19th clinic with a sign reading “beware of Dr. Eric Schweiger… he ruined my face.”

Back in 2011, Ginalski signed a non-disparagement agreement and received $4,000 and a $1,125 refund for a laser facial procedure. However, Ginalski wasn’t satisfied with the compensation, and in 2014, she sent texts to Schwieger threatening to “spread dirty secrets”. In 2015, she stalked him at his Murray Hill office.

The dermatologist is suing Ginalski for $5 million for “prowling around” and spewing “outrageous lies” about his practice. However, his attorneys are having trouble locating Ginalski, and she hasn’t returned reporters’ request for comment.

This isn’t Schwieger’s first patient debacle. According to the New York Post, he is currently facing two medical malpractice lawsuits from former patients, including one who claiming a facial laser procedure made her cheek scar worse.
